Philippe Li

Philippe Li started his career in DS Avocats law offices in Paris in 1989. He joined Kim & Chang in 2002. He is curently lawyer associated at the Jones Day law offices.

Mr. Li has an extensive experience in advising French and European companies in doing business with Korea and is recognized in this respect as one of the best experts of the Korean market. Mr. Li practices in a wide range of business corporate, HR, and tax issues.

Mr. Li has published numerous articles and given many interviews in legal and economic publications both in France and Korea (including Le Figaro, Les Echos, Le Monde, Chosun Ilbo, Donga Ilbo, Korea Economic Daily…)

Mr. Li is the President of the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Korea since 2005. He is also Advisor to the French Government for Foreign Trade (Conseiller du Commerce Exterieur), Member of the Advisory Committee to the Ministry of Government Legislation, Member of the Foreign Advisory Council (FIAC) of Seoul Metropolitan Government, Vice Chairman of UCCIFE (French Chambers of Commerce Aboard) and member of the Supervisory Board of EU Center in Korea.

He was also awarded the title of Knight of the French National Merit Order (Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Merite) in 2006 and Seoul Honorary Citizenship in 2009.

Pierre Goldschmidt

Pierre Goldschmidt is a nonresident senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment. Goldschmidt is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Association Vinçotte Nuclear (AVN). AVN is a non-profit organization charged with promoting the protection of people and the environment against nuclear, industrial, and radiological hazards.

Goldschmidt was the Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Safeguards, at the International Atomic Energy Agency from 1999 to June 2005

Goldschmidt is a member of the European Nuclear Society's High Scientific Council and has headed numerous European and international committees, including as Chairman of the Uranium Institute in London, of the Organisation des Producteurs d'Energie Nucléaire in Paris, and of the Advisory Committee of the EURATOM Supply Agency.

In November 2005 he became Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Brussels.

Among a number of cultural and scientific awards he received the 2008 Joseph A. Burton Forum Award of the American Physical Society.
